Addy Alayon is originally from Chetumal, Quintana Roo. After completing her studies in Mérida in Tourism, she began her work at the Museum of Mayan Culture in Chetumal where she was a guide and workshop leader and later became Coordinator of Educational Services.
She learned to make figures and characters in cold porcelain and eventually gave workshops to teach how to work with this material. She had always wanted to live in Cozumel so moved there and worked for 2 years in a beach club.
When the pandemic came she lived on her savings until her money ran out. She continued to develop her porcelain and jewelry skills and hoped for tourism to return. As tourism in Cozumel slowly grows, SoulGives is helping her to showcase her unique creations.
