Huetar People
The Huetar tribe has a population of around 2,600 individuals residing in the pristine mountains of north-central Costa Rica.
Esmeralda is one of the few community members preserving the tradition of Huetar pottery, textiles, and musical instruments, offering classes to those interested.
The Maleku tribe has been making teas from local plants for generations and we want to help them create commercial teas so they won't have to rely exclusively on tourism for their income.
Mexico healthcare system does not provide dental treatment so even checkups are too expensive for many. We are funding free education, dental products, and then follow-up treatment from local dentists.
