Elizabeth is a talented jewelry designer who moved from New York City to Tamarindo, Costa Rica, 15 years ago to start a new life with her child. She opened a small shop and quickly became known as The Jewelry Lady, where she made stunning jewelry with local materials and upcycled jewelry, but applied the contemporary techniques she had developed in the US.
She employs and mentors only local Costa Rican women that gives them a reliable source of income and empowerment.
The Maleku tribe has been making teas from local plants for generations and we want to help them create commercial teas so they won't have to rely exclusively on tourism for their income.
Mexico healthcare system does not provide dental treatment so even checkups are too expensive for many. We are funding free education, dental products, and then follow-up treatment from local dentists.
