Ancestral Mexican cocoa beans have been blended with incredients from the Yucatan Peninsula, sourced from Mayan communities in the region, from tree-to-bar.
The bars weigh 75g (2.6 ounces) and come in 8 different natural flavors:
Caribbean Coconut (Coco Caribeño)
Dragon Fruit (Pitahaya)
Habanero (Habanero is a famous Mexican spicy, slightly sweet chile pepper)
Orange and Agave Worm Salt (Naranja y Sal de gusano). Don’t be afraid! It has an amazing salty, mildly spicy, smoky and savoury taste that pairs so well with the rich cacao.
Pumpkin Seed (Semilla de Calabaza)
Tequila and Pink Salt from Celestún (Tequila y sal de Celestún, a town in Yucatán)
Tuzantun (Origen Tuzantán, hase notes of ripe fruit, nance fruit and plum) Nance fruit is a sweet, small yellow-orange fruit about the size and shape of a cherry but delivers a unique taste and odor.
Xtabentún (Xtabentún is an anise liqueur made in Mexico's Yucatán region from anise seed, fermented honey, and rum.)
Chocolate originated with the Mayans thousands of years ago. Spaniards introduced it to Europe and the rest is history. Mexican cacao and chocolate has remained a favorite worldwide.
