Oral Hygiene Workshop Project

Mexico has the highest per capital consumption of sugared drinks in the world.  Parents often feed infants sugared drinks daily and typically this behavior will continue into adulthood. Consequently, it is not unusual for Mexican children to consume more Coca Cola than water every single day. Combine this behavior with bad dental hygiene and oral problems will easily occur.

SoulGives is partnering with local dentists, hygienists and staff to provide workshops to children and parents in Cozumel, Mexico.

This 18-month program will educate 5,000 children and adults about the effects of frequent sugar consumption and teach them proper dental hygiene.

We seek donations to fund the dental products (toothbrush, paste, floss, and flouride) and educational materials (brochure and fun games), and then sponsor follow-up treatment from local dentists for children needing special care and are unable to afford it.
