These one-of-a-kind drums are hand-made from balsa wood and painted by Maleku artisans in Costa Rica. The drum skin is made of iguana skin (only indigenous people are allowed to do this) and are bound by durable tree fiber. These are built to last.
The size of the drum is about 12 inches tall by 8 inches in diameter.
Mexico healthcare system does not provide dental treatment so even checkups are too expensive for many. We are funding free education, dental products, and then follow-up treatment from local dentists.
